TKTS, the theatre ticket booth operated by the Society of London Theatre, will be offering half price tickets on Wednesdays throughout July.

Titled West End Wednesdays, the new initiative launches with ten of the best West End shows offering half price tickets to all Wednesday performances that will only be available to buy on the day at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square.

Shows involved include major musicals The Commitments, Let It Be, Once and The Pajama Game alongside plays: The 39 Steps, Bakersfield Mist, Daytona, Jeeves & Wooster In ‘Perfect Nonsense’, Ghost Stories and The Woman In Black.

Established in 1980 and originally called the ‘Official Half Price Ticket Booth’, the Society of London Theatre’s only ticket booth has been offering safe and secure ticket services to both Londoners and tourists alike for over 30 years.

Changing its name to TKTS in 2001 to match its New York counterpart, the booth has not only continued to offer some of the best discounts in town, its grown to offer tickets to all the major productions across the capital with shows selling at a variety of prices.

As a not-for-profit organisation, all proceeds made at the TKTS booth are invested straight back into theatre through the many charitable organisations that are part of, or associated with, the Society of London Theatre. In addition to this, the unique operation of the booth ensures that customers are given unbiased information about the shows available to them and all ticket sales are made following the STAR, the Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers, code of practice.

Beginning on Wednesday 2nd July and running for five consecutive weeks, half price tickets for the ten shows involved will go on sale at 10am each Wednesday at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square.

Full details are available at the TKTS website, www.TKTS.co.uk.
