Wrap Up Warm And Meet The Snow Monkeys On This New Japanese Adventure

Wow, now you can witness the incredible snow structures at Sapporo and visit the Japanese snow monkeys on a new wintery escape from Wendy Wu Tours that we love the look of.

Wendy Wu Tours is an Asian specialist and this new experience for 2017 is an 11-day ‘Sapporo & Snow Monkeys’ trip that requires guests to wrap up warm and explore Northern Japan’s picturesque winter scenery.

One of the highlights is a visit to Jigokudani Monkey Park where guests will walk through the forested valley, home of the famous Japanese Snow Monkeys and watch them bathe in steaming pools.

You will spend a day at the Sapporo Snow Festival where you can observe incredible snow structures of landmarks, buildings and famous faces from around the world. Soak up the atmosphere of the Snow Light Path Festival in Sapporo, where over 100,000 candles are lit in snow lanterns, which create a magical winter experience along the streets and canals of the city.

During the tour, you will also discover cosmopolitan Tokyo with visits to the Sensoji Temple, Meiji Shrine and Hamarikyu Gardens, as well as the ancient city of Kyoto, where you will experience a traditional tea ceremony and take in the ‘Kinkakuji’ Golden Pavilion.

The 11-day tour costs from £4,690pp, departing on 1st February 2017. The trip includes international flights, all accommodation, most meals, entrance fees, domestic transportation, local guides and airport transfers. A visa is not required for UK citizens visiting Japan.

The trip is part of Wendy Wu Tours’ new programme of Discovery Tours that aim to combine lesser-known locations with unique, immersive experiences, getting under the skin of the destination.
